Global Compact +15 Europe
Conference on the future of corporate sustainability and the UN Global Compact in Europe
The Foundation of the German Global Compact Network is pleased to host a conference on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the UN Global Compact in Berlin this fall. A few weeks after the Sustainable Development Goals will have been adopted in New York, a few weeks before governments will be negotiating a new climate agreement in Paris, Global Compact +15 Europe brings together European Global Compact Networks, their members and stakeholders to discuss the future of corporate sustainability and of the UN Global Compact in Europe. With the expected participation of the then newly appointed Executive Director of the UN Global Compact, the conference fosters learning and dialogue between companies and with relevant stakeholders from governments, civil society, business associations and other organizations. On 14 October 2015, the high-level panel “The Alliance for Integrity – Collective Action on Principle 10″ will officially launch the business-driven multi-stakeholder initiative Alliance for Integrity which is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Alliance for Integrity aims to prevent corruption in the economic system and is active in Brazil, Ghana and India and the respective regions.
